This unit standard is for support workers who support people to use prescribed medication.

People credited with this unit standard are able to: identify the person who is to receive prescribed medication; read and interpret written instructions for medication usage; support a person to use prescribed medication; and record and report medication usage, in a health or wellbeing setting.
